Search and Browse: 01. Sorting Lists

back to list of topics           see also

Lists in the Search and Browse section can be sorted using two methods.

  1. One method is to click on the metric in the top right of the table to sort from greatest to least based on the metric indicated. In this example, sorting is done based on posts per day (image 1).

To change the metric governing the sorting, right-click on the metric in the top right of the table and select from the drop-down list of options (image 2). In this same area, there is an option to change the calculation range for the metrics.

Reference the list below to decide which metric might be ideal to govern the sorting:

Posts per Day: helps to understand which objects are most voluminous

YoY ppd change: helps to understand which objects have grown the most in post volume relative to a year ago

Yearline: shows the slope of the object’s activity over the past year

Spam %: shows which objects have the highest percentage of posts considered spam

Positive %: shows which objects have the highest percentage of posts considered to be positive

User Retention %/m: helps to understand which objects have the highest percent of people talking about them in consecutive months

Posts per user: helps to understand which objects get the most posts by a single user

Like Percentile - IG: helps to understand how many likes a post mentioning the object receives compared to similarly categorized objects

Comment Percentile - IG: helps to understand how many comments a post mentioning the object receives compared to similarly categorized objects

Influencer Post %: helps to understand objects whose mentions are coming most frequently from people considered to be influencers in the Social Standards platform

Beauty %: helps to understand which objects have the most prominent presence in the Beauty vertical (or whichever vertical is currently open in the platform)

  2. The second method is to click on the drop-down next to ‘Order’ in the ribbon below the Search and Browse table. This drop-down will reveal metric options (image 3).

Click on the metric desired to sort the objects by. Note that the metric shown at the top right-hand corner of the table (post/day in image 3) will not change. In order to change it, use the first method of sorting that leverages the right-click.
